What's this popping sound from air intake?

So my Super A-1 has a popping sound that I don't know how to recognize. You can notice it more at low idle. You hear it really well at the air intake. Some of you may know right off the bat. Any Ideas? Should I be concerned?
Thanks.

30 second clip.

Sounds like an intake valve out of adjustment.
I would start with a complete valve adjustment and check for broken valve springs.
Hopefully it is just an adjustment thing.

Would that be Dr Boss or Dr Hog? 8) Is valve work considered Internal Medicine?

Although I had a blast last time I was up there I think I'm going to try to tackle this myself. :o I've got a buddy who wants to help me. Also, after finding the section in the owners manual that covers it it doesn't look like it'll be too hard to at least adjust everything and see if that helps. But who knows I may get over my head.

Dale Finch dropped by today to take a look at it and give me some pointers. I've made a checklist of items to work on.

1) sediment bowl
2) flush/add fluid to gearbox and pto
3) clear /fix carb
4) adjust valves
5) adjust clutch (I've got very little room before it starts engaging.)

The is a pretty steady leak from the front engine seal too. I noticed it and PO told me he thought it was a leather seal that needed some time to start working correctly again. I'm not sure I buy that. We'll see I guess.

At any rate. I'm hoping to have some time to work on it soon. Things have been busy lately at work, etc. It looks like I may be being promoted to a management position. we'll see if that adds more stress or lets me goof off a little more. :-)
Either way. I will be making time this winter to work on the tractor.

As always, thankful for this site (more so the people on it)
