I REALLY do NOT want to split the tractor now that it has been painted, and everything is almost finished! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Super A Rear Engine Seal (felt)I was just communicating with MBergthold who informed me of a potential problem I may have.

Re: Super A Rear Engine Seal (felt)Dale - I think over-filling it will work.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem. My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that! http://www.cubtug.com
Re: Super A Rear Engine Seal (felt)Hey, it's worth a try, right?...a few gallons (any guess how much??) of oil that maybe does the job...cheap and easy!! In any case, I might as well wait to split the tractor to see if the seal even starts leaking!

Re: Super A Rear Engine Seal (felt)Dale, Hoist the front end up so the tractor is vertical. Then you'll only need about a couple cups of oil to cover the seal.
