Farmall Cub

I am about to order the new tires for my SA and realized that the two SA's that I have combined into one had 2 different sized tires: 9x24 and 11x24. My question is, since they can take 9x, 10x, and 11x24, which is the best to use for everyday mowing and some hauling? Thanks!

I like the look of the 11x24 on my 100 although they feel quick when cultivating close to small crops. Could just be me. I don't have a mower but I don't think it would make too much of a difference.

I prefer the 11.2-24's.

Differnt uses call for different size tires. For a general purpose catch-all size, I think the old 10-24 (new size 11.2-24) is the best choice. Originally that would have been on a 9-inch rim, but 10-inch is better. Since the two tractors you started with had different size tires, they may have also had different size rims. Make sure you use two that match!

I thought they HAD been ordered, and when I told him I had sold the old tires, he said "I guess I'd better order you the new ones"!! So I realized there was a choice, when I looked the number up again. Peice went up a tad, too, from about $150 to $180....oh well...

Also, does everyone use tubes? I did on the fronts and rears on the cub and have tubes in the fronts for the SA.

What brand did you get? I looked at the Carlisle tires that ME Miller Tire had on display at Denton. They are a nice reproduction of the old 45 degree lug tires.....

By all means, use tubes in them, even if they happen to be tubeless tires.

Where did you find 11.2 X 24 for 180 each?

tucker is showing 8 ply 45 degree 11.2 for $398 pair. from India i think. you need tubes

I was very lucky to get them at cost...the guy letting me work in his shop does body, paint, mechanical AND TIRES! Mark up on tires is pretty high! They are not the Carlisle, and probably not as good...think they are 4-ply vs 6-ply Carlisles, but for what I do, they will outlive me! Tread is about the same, from what I can tell from the photos.

I have 11.2 x 24 on my one 130, 12.4 x 24 on my 100 and 14.9 x 24's on the other 130. I perfer the 12.4's but the 14.9's are like riding with suspension
