can i remove the gear and put a cover on like the right side has?

leroy68, I don't know anything about the implements, but when I bought 2 SA's (one to fix and one for parts) one had the gear and the other had a "hub" cap just like the right. It is the one I am using.

Yes , you have to replace the bolt and washer too I believe I have the parts if you need them
