OK, it followed me home today. Serial number is 287235, which puts it as a 1950, but I think it is well past the demonstrator range. I'm really happy with it. Here are some pics of the "load" of stuff. Now the fun begins, figuring out just exactly what everything is. I think I ended up with a complete set of cultivators with extra parts, side dresser with both hoppers, corn planter, and single bottom plow. I have parts of the snow blade mechanism, but the main blade and hardware are missing. However, I found out that my buddies dad was the original owner, came with the owner's manual, and a cool little Farmall Cub brochure, "Farming with the Farmall Cub" nearly 50 pages of what a Cub can do. I'll grab more photos of that when I can. Anyone have a bunch of pictures or manuals of how all this stuff goes together?
Thanks,
Bill
Hey guys,
I haven't delt much with Super A, 100, 130, 140 attachments much, but I need to know what the going rate is for the following attachments. Yes, these will be for sale if I can make a deal with my co-worker:
Corn planter
Fertilizer hopper
Front Cultivators
Rear Cultivators
Box of Extra NEW cultivator points/shanks/parts, etc.
Swinging Drawbar
Field Plow
All of the attachments are old but in basically new condition, and he never recalls anything ever being used except the field and snow plows.
The tractor itself is a 1946 or 47 and I'm really just interested in the tractor and the snow blade, possibly the field plow. If I can offset some of my purchase $$ with selling the attachments, then I'm going to go for it. Tractor starts, runs, is perfectly operable, just has a rattle can paint job.
Thanks!
Bill

Re: Super A Attachments Value????
Bill, just for a SWAG, I think Super A implements and Cub implements are of similar value for equivalent condition. I bet you have as good an idea on Cub stuff as any of us. The first few Super As were built in very late '47. I assume it really is a Super A as the old A would be a different situation.
If you get it, let me know specifics of the box of cultivator parts. I will need to get some points in a while.

Re: Super A Attachments Value????
Bill if the fertilize hopper is metal check it out good for rust if it's fiberglass check for cracks if everything is there and in working condition $400.00-$600'00 dollars as for the cultivators a good set in NC will bring $400.00 in a heartbeat.

Re: Super A Attachments Value????
If it is all there and in good condition you are looking at $1000 and up for all except the planter, the planter could be worth quit a bit depending on what it is. If it is not complete and in poor condition much less.

Re: Super A Attachments PICTURES!!!!!
I've always wanted a SA and have a chance to buy one for $1800 with front cultivators. It's all original 6v battery ignition but needs restoration. The sheet metal is good, just all needs painting and rewiring. Is this a fair price? I haven't drove it yet but the owner says it hits on all four and the hydraulics work.
Another question, I see on ebay that a lot of parts are advertised for A, B, BN, C, SA, SC, 100, 130, 140 as one and the same. Is it true that a lot of parts are interchangeable between these tractors?

A lot are and a lot aren't, probably not as many as eBay sellers indicate. You need to know what you are bidding on.

Re: Super A Attachments PICTURES!!!!!
Nice find Bill - I'd have to consider just cleaning that one up and leaving it in it's work clothes. A little Color Back on the paint and it might even shine!

Re: Super A Attachments PICTURES!!!!!
I agree with BD on this one. $1800 a fair price considering all the goodys that came with it. I love my SA because it will do that little bit more than the Cub.
