Farmall A Demonstrator?

Postby MaineDad » Sun Oct 18, 2009 6:30 pm

Guys,

I'm trying to figure out if my neighbor's A is a demonstrator. It is red, but a lot of white shows up under the red. The serial number is 284204. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Thanks,
Micah in Maine

284204 would make it a 1950 Super A. Without knowing the SA demo serial number range, I'd say it's possible.

The commonly accepted range of Super A demonstrators are 281269-285398. So that would make your neighbors Super a a demo

The commonly accepted range for C are 47010-54410

I got the numbers from Jim Becker. Our own local case and antique iron enrhusiast expert.

As stated, those numbers are the "accepted range". But documentation is poor on nearly everything demo related. From what I have seen, the demos are probably all in that range, but I am not convinced that everything in that range was originally a white demo.
