I got the flywheel off now how do I get the pilot bearing out?

Thanks , I don't see any damage on the flywheel after it hit the floor.

There may be several other suggestions in the "How To" section of this site. Most operations on the Cub are identical or very similiar to other tractors.

On the pilot bushing. I have taken a broken hacksaw blade and sawed most of the way through the bushing then used a pick to bend up one side near the saw cut. Then with a pair of needle nosed plier pull the bushing out.

Have lurked here in the past but registered to reply to this post. :wink: I may be too late to help here but the easiest way to get any pilot bearing out is to get a bolt that will just fit inside the bearing then pack the bearing with grease about 3/4 full put the bolt in and whack with a hammer. Bearing will pop right out. :P While you have the flywheel out paint the outside black and highlight the timing mark white or silver. Sure to help when timing.

Thanks for the advice; I got the bushing out with the hack saw method. The whole operation took about ten minutes
