Oil check petcocks

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas and a better New Year.
The oil check plugs on a super a , do they just screw in the pan or is it welded. I have one that is broke off.

If you weren't aware plain old regular pet cocks from the hardware can be used in placed of the old style. In fact if you go to the CNH store that is most likely what they will sell you.
