A60 Blade question

Postby ShawnAgne » Sun Jan 07, 2024 7:31 pm

Mounted the A60 on the 100 for the snow that may/may not be coming later this week.

The geometry on it just doesn't look the same as my Cub blade. The bracket that holds the tensioning screw keeps the nut very close to the ground. Realize by now a lot of the frames have been broke/fixed. What I'm thinking is the U bracket that goes from the bolter mount that the horizontal portion of the frame is to long. So was wondering what is the length from the long mounting screw through the bolster casting to the sower rotational portion where the horizontal frame attaches?

EDIT: After looking at the manual I realized I wasn't using the correct holes on the hanger. Need to raise them up and then run the long bolt through the lower hole on the arm.

I was wondering, don’t feel bad I did that too and it cause interference between the blade and front wheels.
All proper now.

LT Mike helped me a few years ago with this post regarding his issues with the A60

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Yeah mine didn't interfere with the wheels just the back of the frame drug in the snow/dirt, etc. because it was to low. And then I had the control lever and the two arms coming off the blade all attached in the same hole. So either I had a lot of down and no up, or a lot of up and no down. Now that I have them separated it works pretty well. Just need about 6-10 inches of snow so I can give it a workout lol.

I actually got just enough snow to get a taste of how well the power angle of the blade will help and I love it !
Just fabricated a flexible clevis for it that will round out the assembly nicely.
You’re going to like plowing with the A. I plowed a number of years with the Cub which was good but the A is much better. ;)
