That is the same auxiliary valve on my super c and I just took mine apart and replaced the O rings. Works well now without the creep down. Just leave the fill plug off the TC control and work the hydraulics back and forth to purge

I had not thought about traffic while plowing, fortunately I live on a dead end dirt Rd.

We’ve all seen it, the snow seems to bring out the dare devils and those people that don’t know the difference between a dry road and snow. If we’ve got a forecast for heavy snow I try to go out and get it in before it gets too deep. Visibility when it’s still coming down is as you’d expect bad, but those fools will still be on the road. I’ll wait until no one’s in sight and as soon as I swing around to clear the bottom of the drive someone always comes outta nowhere.
Going to try to light it up as bright as the county plow do.
Come to think of this is probably why they’re lit up like they are.

Good to hear John. I figure to drain the the touch control and refill with fresh fluid .
What did you use your auxiliary lines for, same thing ?

I missed the picture showing the weights on the drawbar. On my Super A I have 1 set on the rear wheels and a second set back on the drawbar. On the Cub I always had a barrel with sand in it on the drawbar in addition to 1 set of rear weights on the rear wheels. It makes a significant difference.

Yes I’ve got 2 sets of “A” weights on the wheels and the pair of Cub weights on the drawbar. The Cub weights are actually about 10lbs heavier each than “A” weights.

:{_}:
Success !!!
I removed the the old broken valve and replaced it with the new (reconditioned) one, using the gasket I had to make and hooked up all the hoses and their ram which for now is just sitting on a crate next to the tractor.
I didn’t know if anything would work, or if it did how long it would take to purge the air out of the lines…
I pulled the lever which took little effort and the ram started working almost immediately
I’m actually kinda worried because this went together a bit too easy. There was plenty of anxiety in the mix getting to this point and I am elated. :)
Now I’ve got to get it positioned on the plow frame.
:hattip:

Mike,
So lots of rear weight! I did not want additional rear wheel width so I just have a single set of weights on the wheels.
Congrats on getting your hydraulics to work.

Yes it does stick out beyond the tire sidewalls about 4”even with the 10” rims. Doesn’t sound like much but when squeezing it in alongside another tractor in the shelterlogic shed it does get tight.
Probably wouldn’t need so much if I used chains but they’ll markup a sealed or concrete driveway somewhat so weights it is.

Mike,
I have always used chains for 44 years. Without chains you need flat going and no ice, not my conditions.

I agree, it can be tough. I run ag tires and a lot of weight. Also run lower air pressure to get the biggest footprint.
No real hills to deal with, just ice. Chains leave rust stains on concrete and markup sealed blacktop really bad.
