Farmall transmission grinding

Postby Danny Mac » Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:19 am

My farmall Super A transmission Is grinding when trying to shift into gear and will not go into gear. Replaced clutch, pressure plate, both bearings.
Still didn’t stop it grinding. I’m able to start it in gear just can’t shift gears. Anyone have a suggestion?

It's a clutch problem, for sure. How much clutch pedal free travel do you have? It should be about an inch, too much can cause your problem. Are you sure everything was assembled correctly?
