140 Spin-on oil filter
Does anyone know what serial number or year the 140's were switched to the spin-on oil filters?

Re: 140 Spin-on oil filter
were they ever spin on from the factory? my ‘72 has a cartridge filter. It’s a devil to get the bolt not to leak, but i prefer the cartridge look to the spin on

According to the parts catalog, it changed at serial 128241. I assume that is engine number and is around '72 to '73.

Where is the oil leaking, between the oil housing cap and under the bolt?

Checked my ‘72 engine # this morning and it’s 127572, mine didn’t miss it by much.
