Prediction for serious snow this weekend so the chains went on the Super A!!! First time for the heavy duty chains - have used modified car chains on the Cub successfully in the past! Did the first one in Oct w/o them and did OK but don't want to have to rescue it from a snowbank !! Dusty B

For aggressive snow plowing, chains are a necessity in my view. For areas with light snow you can get by without chains. I push snow across the road from my driveway and if I get hung up, my Cub is halfway in the road. We get lots of traffic driving faster than they should so that leaves me in a dangerous situation. Chains are a must for me along with double wheel weights. I even doubled the amount of cross links in the chain which helped more than you might realize.

I didn't know you lived down the road from me??? Sounds like my road. Granted, when a snows on, they do drive a little slower, but after that first winter of getting stuck several times, I'm glad I've got weights and chains with cross links.
