Farmall Super A Distilate

Postby Riverman » Wed May 13, 2020 6:59 am

I have a 1952 Super A Distilate. It is mostly original. Missing the heat shield around the adjustable heat manifold. Does anybody know where one can be purchased or the process used to fabricate one? Once warmed up, the tractor runs well on straight diesel fuel. I guess distilate fuel was so close to diesel fuel that the system works on regular diesel. You can actually hear the engine pick up in rpm as it starts running on diesel. Not as much power as on gas though.

They show up on Ebay from time to time. Very cool to hear it will run on diesel!
