Hello, New 154 Owner!

Postby DieselYJ » Thu Jan 26, 2017 12:03 pm

Hello everyone I just purchased a '71 154 for $300. Woman selling it lost her husband to a heart attack and this was his pride and joy, it pained her to sell it but it was the last thing left. He had started to paint it when he died, used it to mow a couple acres. I am just reading up on the weaknesses of these machines. I will have to figure out how to load a picture up on here. The deck is clean and solid as it the rest of the tractor, good tread on the tires, a leaky front but otherwise no cracking. I hope to have it back together and running soon, I will see what or if it needs anything at that point. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum. I used a 71 154 for 10 years and used and abused it until I restored it. They have some limitations, but mine worked great for mowing and plowing snow.
