Glad to have found this group today.
Our 1959 Cub is now officially mine and I intend to treat her as well as she deserves, a spot in the garage and some TLC
I remember sitting on Pops's lap while he mowed with the German Shepherd biting the front tires and the Swallows zooming about for the flushed bugs.
We have used this Tractor on our place for almost 60 years. Mowing in the summer and plowing snow in the winter.

My Uncle used the Tractor the past 40 years, but recently with dementia, he had completely taken her apart twice to the point of being unusable for 2 years.
Uncle gone away and I'm using tractor often.

Snowy winter in Maryland, and the ol Gal is up to the task.
BTW, the tractor is quite a bit older than me, which is really cool

Congratulations on having the cub back, and welcome to the forum. We need people besides us old geezers that are the majority here.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Welcome to the forum! Great background story.

Since you just found us, then you may not have had time to explore the site yet. There's a bunch of information just waiting for you!

A list of annual CubFests is listed here: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8. I'd highly recommend that you attend one. You'll learn a lot. Also at that link is a couple articles describing CubFests.

Familiarize yourself with the resources at your fingertips:
--Welcome Wagon: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=88707
--Manuals: links located across the top of each screen (PDF Manuals and Rudi's Manuals)
--How To Forum: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=11
--You might pay particular attention to this How To: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=16305 (it has some suggestions one may not think of doing, but are essential for a running Cub)

Hope all this helps. Remember, if you dig into your Cub for repair, take digital pictures for your own records/memory and to share with us! Also, if you have any questions, start a new post over in the Farmall Cub forum. That's the main section where your questions will be read and answered.

Again, we're glad you're here! :coffee:

Thank you so much for your kind offers on where to find help and so forth.
Very lucky to have an older gentleman neighbor friend with two Farmalls, who helps as needed.
I have been driving it since I was a kid.
I also have the original manual, which is like "Tractors for Dummies" with cartoons.
The Tractor was purchased in Washington, DC !!!! Amazing.
:thanx: :thanx:

I guess I have been proven wrong, it looks like something good came out of D.C. after all. If you have not already done so, here is a little interesting reading. Don't forget page 2.
