I just bought my 1949 Farmall Cub three days ago. I have it in my garage decoupled in order to replace the throwout bearing. I found this forum looking for access to a service manual. Good to be a member and look forward to posting as I learn more about the Cub! The previous owner rebuilt the engine and repainted. Did a great job on both. I was lucky to find it.

Welcome to the Forum. If you click on either of the "manuals" in the tool bar above, you can Blue Ribbon Service Manuals. The GSS-1411 is the one you want. You'll have the best luck with an OEM TOB. If it doesn't come pre-oiled, soak it for a day in a light weight oil. Make sure grease comes out the weep hole on the top. Use a cheap (low temperature) grease. You want it to break down and pass through the graphite to the contact surface. Let us know if you need help with anything else. Also, make sure to check the adjustment on the clutch fingers, it's much easier to do with the split, than through the hand hole.

Welcome to the forum from Arkansas. You did find a great forum. Many folks have put in a ton of work to make this forum work. What we do without them?
