Some of my best memories were the days we spent visiting my grandparents near New Era, MI. They had a little farm, maybe 40 acres. And my favorite thing about it was Grandpa's Farmall Cub.
OK, this was around 1957, and the tractor wasn't new then. But it was the first time I ever got to "drive" anything, if sitting on Grandpa's lap and steering counts as "driving." He always made fun of the "snake tracks" I put down in the dirt road in front of his house.
But even better than that was walking behind him while he was plowing. One bottom plow. I still remember the cool of the dark, sandy soil under my feet.
And now, since we're buying a place with 5 acres to mow (or plow?), it suddenly struck me I might be able to make this an excuse to get my own Cub!

Welcome to the forum Mike. One of the first cubs I ever saw was the one I bought over 30 years ago. I was raised on a farm, but our farming was done with Farmall H, and when I needed something a little sturdier than a riding mower a Cub was a natural choice. I own 3 of them now, that mow 3 or so acres, grade and snow plow roads, plow my gardens along with others, disk and till them, plus an occasional food plot for neighbor, and my 3rd one has a loader for moving heavy stuff around, including firewood. As you may have guessed, they tend to multiply.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
