Hello from Harnett County NC cub collector

Postby michael » Fri Apr 25, 2014 4:25 pm

Hello,
I have been in our hobby for the past 3 years. I retired from VO AG teaching a couple years ago, and really enjoy our hobby. My problem is my limited play budget:) I have restored a '76 and '64 cub along with a 100 fasthitch blade and 194 plow. I recently bought a No. 1 platform carrier that has been restored. I also have a '77 that is my workclothes tractor. I am interested in fasthitch square grill cubs and my dream collection would be to own all 5 bluestripe cubs late 75 through 79. I know the 79s are the holy grails! I'm a member of a couple of local tractor clubs and have enjoyed the great folks I've met and the friends I've made. I look forward to learning from the rest of you cub pros!

You need to get to know Dale Finch from Chapel Hill, if you have not already done so. She has several cubs that she is working on.

Hello, there Michael! I'm no expert, but I am Dale and I do have 3 cubs (a '52 and two '55's) and a '48 Super A. I have one of the '55 cubs, that I just finished rebuilding, up here at Boss Hogg's VA Cubfest this weekend and we are only 2.5 hours from you...why don't you come up tomorrow (it should be great weather) and meet a bunch of the forum folks. Boss has one of the biggest square hood collections!! I don't know much about them, but he does.

Come on up!! You can help me make up a steel fuel line for this '55!
