Hi from SE Virginia

Hi all,
I will soon have 2+ acres of cleared land to take care of along with a 500' gravel driveway, and in anticipation of that I've just bought a 1950 cub with fast hitch, a plow, a disc harrow, cultivators, and a Mott FHC mower (red with IH stamps on it). All I need now is a blade.
Will put up some pics as soon as I get it home and we have a sunny weekend.

Welcome aboard, Mike! Glad to hear you were successful in getting a Cub with implements. Sometimes, package deals fall into your lap, other times, you have to hunt for 'em.
I'm sure you'll be using your Cub in the months ahead. Enjoy!

Welcome , I am on the Western central side of Va. midway between Harrisonburg and Staunton just West of I-81.
This is a great Forum , I have made many new friends, go to a Cub Fest when you can that helps you get into this group and learn to know many new people who are also interested in the Cubs.

Picked up the new cub Saturday, my buddy didn't get as many pictures as I thought he did but here are a couple. I need to tackle a leaky carb and replace all the knives on the mower.

Mike, When you go to separate the halves of the carb, pull them straight apart. There is a thin (1/8" diameter) idle tube that screws into the top half and extends down into the bottom half about 2". If you try to "crack" open the carb, you'll break it off. Check the needle valve seat for debris/gas varnish and make sure the float doesn't have a leak and is full of gas.
