Hello from central oregon

Postby binderbound » Sun Mar 16, 2014 10:09 pm

My names Dan and I'm in Redmond, Or. Just brought home my cub. Serial number 555. A family friend was selling the farm and moving to town, so his IH pickup and Cub were offered to me. Been into the trucks for a long time, cant wait to get the little cub going in tip top shape. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions.

Thanks
Dan

Thanks everybody. Just been reading up and learning what I can. The hood/fuel tank was in the back of the truck since previous owner had it off already. I need to go through the carb to make it run but otherwise it was a functioning tractor until recently. Yes, serial number is 555, all of it. If I do the math, according to the serial number chart, it was made on the first day of production in 1947. Probably in the first few hours. I'm happy about that.

What a find! There's a fair number of Cub owners in Washington and Oregon. I have 3 Cubs. Welcome.
