Hello from Indiana

Hi Everybody,
I wish I had time for all my hobbies and interacting on all the forums I am part of. You throw in living life and unfortunately many times I have to pick or choose. I say that because many times I seem to disappear, normally because I am doing a project for my wife, but there are priorities.
So I hope to be a part of the community but I know I am not going to be able to be here all the time. That being said, in my first post I got a lot of helpful advise and it seems like a pretty friendly forum. So I hope to throw a little more time towards this forum as I work on my new to me Farmall Cub. I already realized that some of the forum members are literally right around the corner from me, and that could be an advantage if I need that second set of hands.
As for my history in working with/fixing up/collecting farm tractors and equipment, it is a relatively a new hobby for me as I probably try to relive a little of my history and my family history. My grandfather farmed and my dad grew up on a farm. I did not grow up on a farm but we lived in the country and I worked for local farmers and on my grandfather's farm for many years. After going to farm shows and festivals for the last several years I decided I wanted some of the tractors that meant something to me, my father, or my grandfather. I narrowed those down to 5 and I went on a search for them. I now own 3 tractor models out of the 5 I have been looking for. I am trying to get them how I remember them or how I was told they were equipped. I was even trying to get the right years but I am not that patient. I will probably end up getting more than 5 tractors because I fell in love with owning tractors and they have been quit useful as well as something to collect. My only problem is storage and I hope to wear my wife down so I can build a pole barn before to long.
The 5 tractors I have on my list are:
1. 1939 Farmall F-20
2. 1937 John Deere Unstyled B
3. 1949 Farmall Cub
4. 1950 Allis Chalmer WD
5. 1949 Ford 8N

Well, that is my story. The one thing that might seem out of character for someone on this forum but relates to me is that I never really became mechanically inclined. My father or one of the farmers I worked for normally shoved me out of the way when something was wrong, and being a teen I never really paid that close of attention. So it was not until I started to collect these tractors did I get a hands on approach to a lot of the mechanicals.
I hope to learn a lot, and I will participate when I can.
