Hello everyone in Farm-All land

Postby Jay M » Fri Oct 05, 2012 8:24 pm

I was born on my father's dairy farm where he used a Farm-All M and an H. He purchased the M new in 1941 and it was the biggest tractor in the area. Dad also had a McCormick 10-20 mainly for belt power. The H was purchased in 1949. I started working on the farm when I was seven yrs. old and was driving tractors solo at the age of nine. Dad sold the farm in 1970. Then I started driving truck for a living.
Farm milk pick-up to NYC and a few other agricultural related truck driving jobs. Today, I'm retired and have a ten acre play farm raising horses and vegetables. I have a 1948 Farm-All Cub with hand lift. It helps with chores and mowing pastures, plowing and discing.
I have always been a die-hard fan of the letter series Farm-All tractors. I'm pleased to find a group that is keeping the spirit alive. So I say hello to all and keep up the fame guys.

Jay, welcome aboard, I have used and owned cubs for 25+ years, and thanks to the generosity of members of this forum, about 5 years ago my fathers H he farmed with for 45 years came back home to me all rebuilt, painted and ready to work or play, though the most serious work it does now is haul a trailer load of kids to the creek or drive in a parade. The H was the tractor I learned to drive on and spent more hours on than I can count. It'd engine has been rebuilt at least 4 times, and the drawbar and tongue have been built up and ground down a couple of times, so it has worked hard all of it's life.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Welcome Jay, this is a great group of very knowledgeable people who are always willing to help. Fly Creek is a nice area, we farmed for a while in Richfield Springs in the late 80's and early 90's. Chuck
