Hi folks, joined last week and looks like a nice friendly place to be. I just turned 70 last mo. and been retired sinse "95". Brought my old workhorse [Cub Cadet 124] down from Mass. and sinse bought 2 Cubs. One is a 1949 and the other is a 1957. Both are old and uneastored mostly original cond. Both run great, the "57' is my new workhorse and plan to restore the "49" if time allows. Seems every day have to do more work. Need some tractor time, I also have 2 "71" MTD Unico's/ 990, A Craftsman GT 6000/Kohler 16H.P. and a few others. Been an auto& truck mechanic most of my life except for the Marine Corps in 66-68. Looking to going to some of the Cub gatherings sometime . Later for now , Bill [wlm cub].

Bill, great to see another Volunteer as a member. You just missed the Mid TN Cubfest here at my place in Crossville. It was the 17-18th :(

I am most always available, any way I can help, and I am just over an hr away.

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum. You most certainly found the best place for Cub info. If you really want to enjoy a Cubfest then you should attend Stonethrow Cubfest in Gillsville Georgia October 4th - 6th. It's about a four hour drive for you but it is worth every minute of it. Many of us (eight hour drive for me) have gotten motel rooms and will be there everyday. Hope to see you there.

Thanks guys for the welcome and all. Went to what I thought was the Cub show at the fairgrounds on Sat. the 18 to see Cubs. Not open and no one was around at all. Found out later it was the Cubfest in Cookville and not the fairgrounds, so went to the mall and saw the model train layout insted. Got to find out how to and where to put picturs. Thanks again, wlm cub.

Bill, I am sorry you did not get to my place. I thought I had posted good directions and contact info. I am sure we can fix that for the next cub event in the area.

No problem, we had a good day watching the train layouts at the mall. Stopped in Herriman and watched the R/C airplanes for a few hours. Enjpyed the ride and all. Thanks for the post . Bill {wlm cub}..
