Hello from Georgia

Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:31 pm

Ladies and Gentlemen: Please let me introduce myself: My name is Frank Gibbs, I am from middle Georgia. I am a retired engineer from a mining company. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 35 years. She is an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. We have 2 wonderul daughters and one grandson with another one due in August. I am now 65 years old and have been retired for 9 years. I now run a small goat farm and do a lot of heavy gardening. I also raise corn for my goats. I am a highly decorated, disabled combat veteran of the Vietnam war. I was with the Americal Division, 198th Infantry Brigade. I am here only by the Grace of God. I lost a lot of friends either by being killed or wounded badly. So, I thank God for every day that I have. I was wounded 3 times, in both knees and in the right shoulder. However, I am still able to do most of what I want to do. I have owned cubs off and on for about 30 years. Over the past 5 years I have really fallen in love with them. I have 3 right now and would have more if I could afford it. I have one set up for planting, one set up for cultivating and one set up with a belly plow. I would like to have another one set up with a cycle mower and another one with a belly mower. I have the cycle mower and the belly mower, but I would like to have a couple more cubs if I can ever run across a good deal. Having them set up like this keeps me from having to change the equipment out in order to plant, cultivate, etc. It is hard for me to squat, bend and strain on my right shoulder with the injuries that I received from Vietnam. I really enjoy my cubs. There are not many days that go by that I do not at least crank them up. Glad to be a part of a forum with fellow cub owners. If I can ever be of any assistance to anyone on this forum, just let me know.

Hello Frank,
Welcome to the forum. Lots of information on this site and a lot of very nice and knowledgeable people.

I currently work for a company that has sites in Attapulgus as well as McIntyre and Gordon, Georgia. Wonder if it might be the same business. :?:

Looking forward to chatting with you soon.

You have found the right place for all things Cub. Enjoy the ride and consider attending a CubFest near you, and you have a couple of choices. First, in Gillsville, GA http://home.comcast.net/~whitingr/site/?/home/ and next February in Sneads, FL http://www.dscubfest.com/. You will have a great time and meet some very nice people.
