Hello all I found this site looking for info on my 1949 Farmall Cub. My name is Morgan McCormick and I live in the smalltown of Verdigre, NE with my parents because I'm only 15. I have just started the buildup of the cub my dad bought a few years ago that has just sat. It ran good but burned oil because it smokes alot of blue. Please bare with me as I learn the tricks of the trade but this place looks to be full of info.

Morgan,

Welcome to the forum! Someone with a last name of McCormick, ...from Nebraska, can't get much better!

Looks like your "small town" of Verdigre, NE is straight north about an hour of the place I have that is between Albion and St. Edward.

Congratulations on your first Cub, should be a good father / son project, best of luck with it!

Ask away if you need any help,

Ya with the last name of McCormick I figured that I should get a tractor with my name on it. We drive through St. Edward and Albion on the way to my grandparents everytime we go there. Im going to try and get pics loaded in a bit.

Also have an old IH 200 manure spreader that was given to us and it just needed a floor, but now its just a junk holder.

Morgan:

G'day to you and congrats :applause: on taking on the rebuild. Hope you and your Dad get a lot of quality time together on this project. There is lots of help available here so ask away. Suggest you follow the links below and learn about your Cub from the Owner's Manual to the other resources available. Your manure spreader looks to be in roughly the same shape as my McCormick 100. Enjoy playing with the Cub and Spreader.

Image to Farmallcub.com :big smile: Forum Family. And you have come to the right place for all things Cub related. If you click on the Site Rules, Regulations, & Important Information, it will point you to  the Welcome Wagon wherein you will find links to many useful sites and topics. One of which is the Cub Manual Server. Enjoy!.

Thanks for those links to Rudis manuals, those will help out alot. Dad tries to help as much as he can but is gone most of the day usually so I do alot of it myself but it is a great learning expierence. I'm trying to get some expierience so this fall I can rebuild that 390 ford motor sitting in the first pic. Thanks!
