Wierd tag name I know but my son thinks I look like a bear with my beard. That makes him a bear cub. I got the Farmall itch at a young age from my uncle. He is a very hard working man and taught me how to work hard and independent. The backbone of all operations was the farmall cub. From the age of eight I was hooked. Dad bought a super c to mow his five acres with soon after he got it. Well some years past and we acquired a farmall h and bn. When i bought my own home I ran i to a guy that had two cubs that belonged to a passed grandfather, picked those up in a package deal. That was seven years ago ang since then Ive bought four more. They do it all. Mow, plow drives, take care of the garden and haul wood. Now with a two year old son to me it is important to maintain the simple lifestyle and hard work. My goal is to go through his cub starting at the age of five. He owns a 1952 farmall cub. Together we have a 47', (2) 48', a 49', a 52', ans a 62' all cubs. hIs first word was tractor so I think he enjoys them so far. This to me is an opportunity. To pass along tradition and a skill set that made this country what it is. God bless. KURT

Kurt,

Welcome to the forum. There is a CubFest just south of you on June 1 & 2. This is the web address http://www.barnyardbash.com/. I'm sure that Barnyard, the host, will be along shortly to invite you also. Lots of your friends (you haven't met yet) will be there working on Cubs developing those skills you were referring to. CubFests are family friendly, so bring the whole family.

Kurt, welcome to the forum! As you know by now, there is a wealth of information to be found here. After listening to these guys you will feel like a Cub pro in no time. As Bill Hudson and Stan mentioned, the Barnyard Bash would be a great place to learn much about your Cub. You are about three and a half hours away, but most of the more than 70 folks from the forum who show up travel farther than that. You will meet a bunch of new friends, gain a vast knowledge of your Cub and have a great time and all it will cost is your time, gas and a hotel room if you stay for both days (many forum members get rooms).

I hope you can sneak away from your hard work for a couple of days to join us. We will all be happy if you do.

Enjoy your Cub and your time on the forum!
