New guy checking in

Postby Stone » Sun Apr 29, 2012 2:20 pm

Hello from NW Indiana. We have had a 57' Cub in the family long as I can remember. As its been told me it was used by the county for mowing in Illinois as it was painted yellow till about 10 years ago when it got a coat of red paint. I think in 08' my Dad broke it down replaced a bunch of gaskets ,throw out bearing , clutch etc. Well fast forward to yesterday we fired it up and the throw out bearing broke and a finger on the clutch broke off. So here is another generation getting in on the cub. I will be starting a thread on it here soon in the appropriate forum. Just want to intro myself and say high.

Welcome aboard neighbor!! Nice to have someone close to home as a member. I get to New Carlisle fairly often. In the summer I ride in to Mosers Cafe on Thursday nights (bike night) sometimes and sometimes stop at the Black Cat to get ice cream (just what I need). If I can help you give with any Cub repairs shoot me a PM. I'm no expert but I have had mine pretty much completely apart and back together again.

Small world, maybe I will be able to drive the cub uptown and have a few beers at Mosers, I haven't been there since before I bought my house out here (5-6 years ago).

You never know what will show up on Thursday night. Pat Rickerman showed up with his Model A once last fall.
