Hmm... I'm certainly not an old farm boy, but I thought that rule didn't apply if you named it after food? (ie. naming a chicken, drumstick)

My wife Jan was in the Navy for 6 yrs, she was a radioman in anti sub warfare. We are in mid TN and bought our 2.75 acre place 2yrs ago for the same reason. I am out with health probs. and needed something to keep me busy. that is an understatement.

You guys should consider planning to attend one of our fests soon. Kodiak is having one in early Oct. in Ga., and I am having one here in Nov. You don't need to bring a cub to be welcome. I have had mine since January, and absolutely love it.

As many have said you are in the right place if you need any help with the cub. You and your wife have a beautiful place there. If time permits on October 3rd & 4th come on down for the Stonethrow Cubfest in Gillsville Ga. Were near Gainesville which you may be familar with. You don't have to bring a Cub but your more than welcome to. More info to come very soon in the Announcements section.

Welcome to the Forum! I'm not new to gardening, but this is my first tractor. I'm so glad to have found a classic than can also be a real working 'steel horse' that puts food on the table. Pretty important stuff these days as more people are starting to re-understand given the current situation with gas prices.

I crushed a vertebrate in my back in 1982 and it has been a sloooow road to recovery. I've finally gotton to the point where I can do hard work, and the hard work is helping me overcome my pain problem. I'm almost inclined to name my Cub "Physical Therapy" - because that's exactly what it is - with really great benefits! What exercise machine can boast these credentials?

But always be careful, take your time and use leverage to your benefit after thoughtful consideration. Always remember that if you hurt yourself, you'll be missing that quality seat time!

You'll find a good community here that is always available to help you with repair/maintenance/motovational advice.

Welcome Mark. I'm still a rookie at these cubs. Without this forum, I might have parted with mine. But not now. They are too much fun. I was born and rasied outside of Richmond, and got some friends out in Danville, Crewe and Clifton Forge. If you got any questions, ask someone else. I still got a question list a mile long. From one cub newbie (and forum newbie) to another, hi Mark and welcome. You're right, we have a lot of reading to do here and the more I read the more I wish I had found this forum before I even thought about buying a tractor. I've found several things I need to do to make my tractor right (replace a rubber gas line being the first thing!).

Really nice bunch of gals and guys here, I think we're gonna like it here.

Oh and I live down the road a ways from you, just the other side of Reidsville, NC.
