Buying my 154 tomorrow
[b]Drove a Cub 154 when I was 14 years old, and it was only a few years old. Knew I wanted one from then on. I am 46 now, and finally getting one. It has a 5' belly mower and a snow plow. Did some research and felt $1800.00 was a very reasonable price. I'll be retiring at 50, so I will wait to start the restoration until then, but will use it for mowing and snow plowing until then.
Retiring in a few years, and starting a small engine repair buisness in my wifes hometown in Indiana. I will repair/buy/sell garden tractors, lawn mowers, ATV's and golf carts.

Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here. Best of luck with your new tractor.
About the same time you were driving that 154 we were flying to Hale's corners for officer's meetings at EAA headquarters. Did you see that Cessna 170 with a racing stripe on the left wing? It's a small world isn't it?

Welcome to the Forum. I bet you start that restoration sooner than you think. It will keep calling your name to come out for a visit. The next thing you know you'll be diggin' in the tool box for wrenches and screwdrivers. Then there will be the trips to the dealer for parts. The next thing you know you'll have a great lookin' tractor and want another before you get a chance to retire.
Just ask anybody, they'll tell you I'm probably right. Enjoy you tractor and enjoy you time here.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
