Hello from central Texas

Hello everyone. After a long time of lurking and due to upcoming projects, I have finally decided to join the forum. Got my first tractor, a rusty '51 Cub, a few years ago. Was mostly on a whim, I was originally looking at old gravely walk behinds on marketplace and the cub popped up. What a peculiar looking little tractor with the engine off to the side of the seat. So I went ahead and got it. What a mistake that was haha.. What was originally supposed to be a just get it to run and leave as is for a lawn ornament turned into a near full restoration. And now do I not only still have the now shinny red cub, but also 2 John Deere Bs and as of this weekend, 3 Farmall Bs, although 2 of those are just parts tractors

Right after finishing painting, it has since faded a bit. But I'm sure a good wash and wax would bring the shine right back!

I do not have any pictures of the Farmall Bs yet, I just got them all this month. I plan to use the 3 to make one working one. 2 of them have the exhaust lift so hopefully I can get that to work aswell

Nice project. Which B is the project and which are the parts tractors? It looks like all 3 had exhaust lift at one time. There is some exhaust lift expertise on the board. So when you get to that, ask any questions you have. Are you going to mount one of the implements? Looks like you have a middlebuster and 2 cultivators.

By the way, don't tow a B with the chain attached down near the front wheels. It is much safer to attach at the front housing/bolster. Attaching to the cultivator main bracket where it bolts to the housing works fine.

Probably the one all the way to the right, since it's the oldest being a 1940. The one on the left has a '40 front but a '47 rear. The one all the way in the back i haven't checked the year but it's a later model with the short oil filter. Only the 2 have the exhaust lift on them. If the other one did, it was long gone when I got it. I have the two cultivator/planters, both missing parts but I think I have enough to make one complete, the middle buster and a 2 disk b-147 plow not in the picture.

I'm hoping I can combine the two exhaust lift to get one functional. I'm pretty sure I have all the parts between the two, however on both of them the manifold valve it rusted pretty bad. One is completely broken open.

All 3 had the exhausts uncovered open the the elements and they are all seized. One on the left was in the best shape so I'm hoping it will come unstuck. Block is filled with diesel and cylinders are filled with 50/50 atf/acetone. Been soaking for a week now.

Thanks for the tip on towing. I didn't have a second person to steer and that was the only way I could get the wheels to stay straight. Didn't tow far, only about 50ft from the trailer that's was behind me.
