HELP!...New cub owner lol
Hello everyone I just brought home a 1951 cub!!!...I'm excited and terrified at the same time!!!...I've wanted one to tinker on and finally found one. I live in Lexington NC and was wondering if there are any other cub owners in my area... I could use some help and guidance... I know a little about tractors and am pretty mechanically inclined... but I have no idea where to start..I don't know of it runs but it looks pretty complete engine wise...let' just say I've seen alot worse looking ones lol...anyways any help and knowledge would be appreciated....Thanks!!

I'm in Chapel Hill, NC. Not real close, but I'd be happy to help you get started, if I can. I'll send a PM with contact info.
Meanwhile, this post might get you started... don't get overwhelmed, though...one step at a time!

Here is the Owner's Manual...some good needed information in it:

As Stan said, all the manuals will be available after your 2nd post. But start by reading the Owner's Manual.
WELCOME!

Re: HELP!...New cub owner lol
Welcome.
You didn't indicate if your tractor is not running or not. Has it been sitting for some time? Unknown?
Prime the oil pump first thing. Repeat, prime the oil pump before attempting to start the engine. Why, because the Cub's engine has a tendency loose it oil pump prime if it sits for a length of time.
Then follow Dale's suggestions, below.
