I registered here looking for a little advice for my dad. He was given an old Cub that he believes is a 1952. Apparently the wiring is a disaster; and he asked me to find a wiring diagram online, but I have very little to go on. He says there is a 12v battery hooked up to it, but he's not sure it's meant to be 12v. Where can I start? He found two numbers, not sure which is serial and model (or if 100% correct, as I haven't looked at it myself, and his eyes aren't the best...)

Re: Hey all
228008 J - May be the serial number. If so it would be a 1966 and would be 12 volt.

Re: Hey all
Thanks! That really narrows down the search, I was having trouble finding any correct information because I was assuming it was a 52. But looking at the image results on google, it looks exactly like the models coming up for 1966.. Again, thanks for getting me on the right track!

Here is a link to a owners manual. Pages 35-40 have wiring diagrams.

Re: Hey all
Welcome to the Forum. If you don't want to spend the time making your own wiring harness, Brillman (sponsor at the bottom of the page) makes good ones. TM Tractor (also a sponsor) also sells a lot of Cub parts and both provide good service.

@indy61 Thanks! You're a lifesaver. My dad's gonna be relieved to have to correct manual for reference.
@Bob McCarty Thank you! I'll keep those in mind, I'm sure before this is over he's going to be asking me to find and order parts online; and I'll let him know about Brillman.
