O.K. I got that Jim.
Thanks for that follow up.

Bottom line is it has to come apart. Then I'll be able to see what is wrong.

Thank you.
Chris.

P.S. That side (left) has been replaced. Also, most of the mounting bolts were loose and coming off!

Dale:
I plan on getting it apart and see what is going on in there. RE: seal/retainer I will see if they separate. Will take your advice and useTM.
Got a list going already.

Oh my! Yes, Jim! My error...it is the brake drum that CAN migrate INBOARD! (But not outboard). Not the band. Hadn't had my coffee yet, resulting in my brain fart!

I took the front wheels and hubs off in order to check and grease. I noticed the inner bearings there seems to be missing a roller. Both sides are the same. Looks like there is room for one more roller! Is this by design or are new bearings needed?

Put both sides back together and the wheels seem to turn very smooth. Of course there is no load on them having the front end jacked up.

Some help would be appreciated. Old style clutch release yoke left and right p/n 350923R1 and 350924R1 don't seem to be available for 1947 Cub.
Is there a way around this? Can I use newer style clutch release yoke left and right p/n 353239R2 and 353240R2 with the newer style rod?
