Hello from B.C. Canada
Thanks for the membership. I pick up a 1951 Cub on Sunday which is around 3 and 1/2 hrs drive each way but will be worth it I think. It looks complete, comes with the oem front blade, has hydraulics and a few options as well. Hasn't run in over 2 years but always the Optimist. Will post pictures when I can. Thanks, Bob

Re: Hello from B.C. Canada
Thanks for the welcome! This is not my first cub, I inherited a fully restored '49 tractor with a couple of attachments and boxes of parts 35 years ago but circumstances back then required that I had to sell it but here we are again! As I was planning my trip to retrieve this new to me tractor, I realized my cargo trailer may not have enough clearance height and sure enough the door opening measures 62" which is the published height of the tractor to the top of the steering wheel? And then you have the ex stack well above that so to be safe going to go the old Uhaul tandem open trailer route. I don't know if the exhaust is all welded or even if somebody got creative and welded the steering wheel or column support post so considering the travel distance involved better to go with an open trailer I think.
