Patrick Coxall

Postby Bigdog » Tue Jul 13, 2010 4:12 pm

For those of you who have been around the forum for a while you will remember Patrick Coxall. Pat was in Brittany France.
I just received word that Patrick was killed in a tractor accident on June 6th of this year. I don't have any details other than the tractor turned over on him. Notice was delayed apparently from an interruption of internet service.
I was in contact with Pat off and on through e-mails and facebook. I will sure miss him.
Rest in Peace my friend!

Sorry to hear of this. Prayers are offered to all.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

His family has our prayers. I corresponded with him a number of times about cubs and Renaults.

That's sad to hear. My condolences to his friends and family.

Unfortunately, as much as we love having fun on our tractors, times like this serve as a reminder that tragedies can happen at any time.

Terrible. Sounds bad, but I think everyone would like to know what happened... learning vicariously can save others. Too bad it sometimes takes a death to make people really think about how easily things can bo wrong QUICKLY.
I've never met a tractor I didn't like....but I have found some that were greatly annoying....

Kelly - you are probably correct. Harold R. found a French News article which he ran through a translator. So thanks to Harold we have a bit more information:

A Briton has died aged 65 on Sunday to 18 am, at a place called Gostalan at Pont-de-Buis-lès-Quimerc'h near Chateaulin (Finistère). Patrick Coxall, located at Pont-de-Buis for years, had a passion for old tractors and owned several. After repairing a wheel on one of his machines, he wanted to try it. He lost control of his machine in a descent. The tractor has made several tons, crushing its driver. Still conscious upon arrival by helicopter Smur of Brest, the man died at the scene of the accident.
