Farmall Cub

Hi all - we finally got out corn and potatoes in. Yup, know it's late but it had to be done. Kristin and Tucker got some seat time in this field also.

Hope you enjoy the video. I was unclear what board this belonged under - please let me know and I'll repost if it should be moved.

Very nice family affair. I can hear the kernels popping around the seed plate.

@ Boss - I've seen lots of people that planted with cubs just following the tire marks. Down South, I'm used to seeing people running sweeps behind the rear tires to "plow out the tire tracks". Is this just a regional thing???

Boss, I'll get up there today to get some shots. I'll need to make a headless stud today as we've never had one as called for. I should mention this was the first time we put this on the 55. The 48 is not in shape just yet for planting

Most will use the cultivators while planting. And about all use the back feet to break up the soil so it does not get compacted. When I was letting folks plant corn here I took the back feet off as to allow less experienced people plant corn. It is easier for some to follow the tire tracks as they have trouble following the furrow made bu the sweeps.
When they learn more about farming they will use the back feet

Bill, I've just reviewed the video and sure enough there are no holes on the right side. I'll pull the information off my phone when I get to NJ later today and send it to Barnyard. Thanks for sharing.
