posted in the I can drive 55, need to know what this is, and how it connects and what mule pulleys are needed, belt size etc, I am missing some parts
what you see is what I have plus the PTO pulley and a brace but no pulleys in it under the tractor. I have found very few pics of this style mower and no info yet online.

I think it might be something related to this mower? It took a little bit of looking on Google because I knew I've seen a picture of a mower that was round like that but I couldn't remember what it was called.. I don't understand how the one you have could be mounted though. If it is the same thing as in the picture though it's missing a few things or has some home modifications.

Just a suggestion though, not a guarantee this is what it is.

its a belly mower, very similar, thats a fast hitch rear mounted mower. good find on the google, I am still looking, this is one but I have no info. I have seen a pic very much like this one on a St Louis craigslist ad. I do not have the front mount. I dont have the mule drive either

Ok after some more searching around and what not I believe what you have is a "Kub Klipper".. Look up "kub klipper belly mower" on Google images and you should see some more that look like yours!
I'm pretty confident that it's what you have.

I have a Kub Klipper that looks like that. Sunmaster bought out klipper and years ago I bought knives from them. I do not know if they are still in business. Are the knives hinged? If so what you have is a brush cutter. I have cut brush with it as well as tall grass. To cut tall grass remove the back plate. It will not discharge fast enough otherwise to cut . The mule drive bolts to a cross piece which mounts on the final drives. If you want a picture I'll dig thru the barn to find it and try to post. I have a terrible time with pictures. Don't have much computer smarts. For a picture of it cutting grass go to vern709 in the photo host. I can't remember at the moment how to post it. It has been a long time. Vern

Edit: Seems like 25 years or so (10-40?) Sunmaster was sold or changed their name to Rotomaster. Don't have time right now to check out. Will probably have it on in 2 - 3 weeks to mow asparagus fern. I also don't see the rear mount brackets which slip into the cross bar that holds the mule drive, they would be easy to make but the mule drive assembly not so much.

I have a newer style Sun Mastr that came off a 1976 Cub. Very good mowing machine and has a quick adjustable belt tensioner which is nice. They had changed the design from the one like you have. Looks nothing like it and more like a Danco Mower.

here are some pics of the Kub Klipper with the hardware and the mule drive. looks like you need brackets on the rear to hang and some more up front. Sorry these are dark and from the overcrowded barn (but it is winter!)

I have the correct bar I believe, just not the pully assembly. I also need the U shaped piece that holds the round shaft on the mower. if there is some adapter part that goes between the U bracket and the tractor i do not have that either

4570 The shaft in front goes up and slides up and down in the short pipe in the u bracket to allow the mower to to be raised and lowered. The open end fits on the tool bar. This whole thing could be made from a piece of pipe and bar stock. There are L shaped pieces on the rear of the mower that also allow the mower to be raised and lowered. These would also be easy to make. They slide thru the ends of the outer part of the bar holding the mule drive. (The ends against the floor.) I have an 8 inch drive pulley that came with it but it may or may not be the original. Vern
Sorry I can't help at the moment with pictures. This **!@** thing isn't working right. I can say that because my wife can't get it going either!

:{_}: ok here is some info. Hope it helps. We have a 1952 farmall cub with offset drive. It came with a "KUB KLIPPER" ours is model 46D which I believe is the diameter of the cut because mower deck is 48 inches. Anyway it is made by SUNFLOWER INDUSTRIES from OLATHE, KANSAS. Andif I can figure out how, I will send pics. Ours has everything except a belt. I have been trying to find one and that is how I happened across your post.
