Re: Need a fan belt
Finding a belt is no problem at all. Finding one in ICELAND, on the other hand...
From the part numbers you've provided, you have a Cub, not a "Cub C." That was confusing me until I looked up the part numbers on google.
The CaseIH part number for the belt is 251428R1, and it is available on Amazon.
Are standard V-belts available in Iceland? I'm thinking a standard B28 or B29 belt may work in a pinch.

Re: Need a fan belt
Hi,
The numbers you posted are only part numbers on 2 of the castings on a Cub, they don't identify the tractor.
I guess you know the year. The serial number plate tells the serial number, and if you have that, you can look up the year the Cub was made. Below is a page from the Cub owner's manual showing where the serial numbers are. There is one stamped on the engine also, it is different than the number of the tractor.
The plate has the model of the tractor also. There is no C in the model of a Farmall Cub.

Below is the 1955 Cub owner's manual, it has much info about operation, maintenance, and lubrication. The experts on here recommend reading it. There is a table of contents on page 1.

Below is a listing for a new fan belt at TM Tractor.

Usually the generator belt would be replaced with the fan belt, if they have both been there for the same time. Below is a listing for that, this is the one they show, if you still have 6 volts, and a generator.

Re: Need a fan belt
When you are ready to replace the belts be sure to turn the fan shaft and not the nut. If you turn the nut damage can occur. It’s possible to break an ear off of the fan mount casting. The nut is captured in a slide. Hold it steady while turning the shaft. Good Luck!

Re: Need a fan belt
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
