Unable to find a suitable tool to fit the bolster drain plug, I made a shim to fit a 1/2 inch socket extension.

A 7/16" 8 point socket will also work.

I could not find one at local stores or Lowes. I found plenty of 3/8, 5/16 & 1/4 at the pawn shops. Maybe I should try some on line sources.

Craftsman used to have them, I think in both 3/8 and 1/2 drive.

Found them at Sears Tools online. They sure are pricy. I was looking to see if they were gold plated!!

7/16" 8 point socket is what I use. Works great. You can find them at flea markets and tractor show venders, but you may have to look through a box of sockets to find a 8 point.

I like the female Allen hex plugs.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
