Blade is missing a couple parts.... But I'm sure I should be able to find them so it can return into service

Did you get the pulley that mounts on the PTO? They are often left on the tractor when the sickle mower is removed.

It looks like you have December projects, but what are you going to do for the rest of the winter?

Hi - I just finished restoring a Cub-22 sickle mower. The thread is on the forum recently if you are interested. As far as parts go, I recommend Tim Talleur (a member), Joe at Retrocrop, and TM Tractor Parts (a forum sponsor). Tim has great looking Cub-22 decals. Good folks all, and they should have any parts you may need. Good luck with the project! Post pictures when you can. Oh, and good luck getting the pins out on the inner shoe hinge! I never did get mine out.

Thanks for the heads up on the parts, did a basic look over on the first one I'm going to do and I'll be needing a few, main part I see is the coupler that's broken, going to have to figure out how to get to that part without damaging anything else, going to wind-up totally disassembling the whole sickle anyway. want to put new knifes on and replace any damaged, worn parts and bolts.... I'll be picking a lot of peoples brains here for advice as I go.... I'll take pictures as I go, might even attempt some video for the first time

JP Tractor has the pulley on the shelf too. I was just there and checked out the Cub parts building.

Thanks for the heads up on the pulley, have to wait until after holidays before I can start ordering parts.... Hopefully they'll still have one.

Oh, one other comment on parts sources - don't ignore eBay - sometimes there are some good deals there too. Search "Farmall Cub 22 mower" and "IH 22 mower". I didn't see the broken coupler you are needing, but there is a nice drive belt shield there now at a good price. Also, the Burch Store on eBay sometimes has Cub and Cub-22 parts. Hope this helps.
