Motor oil, grease

Postby BigBill » Mon Nov 13, 2017 11:19 pm

Ever since I got into tractors I been using Mobil Delvac super 1300 15/40 motor oil. It’s recommended for diesel trucks, heavy euipment and gas engines. For the summertime. Right now in my jeep plow it’s 10/40 motor oil for the winter. I don’t run heavy motor oil during the cold winter temps. It takes to long for the heavier oil to flow in the cold weather.

On my outside gravely tractor I used 10/30 wr oil plus I put a spotlight under the tranny casting we’re the oil is. I also put a by pass line to the crankshaft so it gets oil sooner, the gravely dealer told me to do this.

Shop around for the best price on the Mobil Delvac, I found it was for $10.50 a gallon with free shipping if we spend enough.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
