Re: 1948 Cub Retirement Project
Progress has been slow the last few weeks, but I did manage to get her back down on her tires and rolled it outside so I could clean up the garage a little bit.

Nice work! You'll have to bring it to the Eastern PA cub fest next year!

Re: 1948 Cub Retirement Project
tinkered with the cub today, the last few days have been around 40° so it wasn't to bad. I cleaned up the steering shaft and put it back together with the new steering wheel to make it easier to move around.......too cold out to do any painting, so will be awhile before I make any real progress.

Re: 1948 Cub Retirement Project
Warmed up a little today, so I started tearing down the back half to replace seals, bearing and anything that is just rusted or worn out.

Re: 1948 Cub Retirement Project
Looks like you are in the meat of it now! Your tractor is looking great.
I'm curious, are the front axle pins rusted out and are the front axle clamp bolts original dot heads?
If you plan to remove the differential retainers, remove the right one first and then tap the left one out from the inside...much easier that way!
