A fuse is a fuse. They understand amps. Voltage should not matter.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

What I thought but just wanted to double check. Place was selling 6V and 12V fuses for Cubs and that got me confused.

Having been an electronics technician for nearly 50 years I have talked to fuses a lot. What bothers me is they sometimes talk back. :x

The fuse is only for the lights, and the original 20 volt fuses will blow if you get a short in the wiring, no matter whether the system is 6 volt or 12 volt. That high rated a fuse is not necessary if you use the same type bulbs/ beams just replace them with 12 volts. If you go to a brighter incandescent bulb you might still need the 20 amp fuses to carry them.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I'm running LED's so the point is probably mute as they don't draw much current. Getting the alternators tonight, brackets will be here tomorrow. Think I'll start pulling stuff off and getting ready so tomorrow I can just pop the brackets on and hook stuff up.

Yes and perhaps no. You will run into some minor problems.

Some wires to the voltage regulator can be eliminated or taped off.

You may have to change some of the wiring behind the dash to accommodate the new alternator wiring diagram. Any change over to the new wiring diagram will be minor.

Do not discard the generator until the change over is complete. You may have to move the generator pulley to the alternator.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I'm doing the 12v conversion with https://www.dbelectrical.com/products/c ... 12180.html and the pulley is narrower than the belt I think it will work fine with the narrow pulley , but would be great to simply swap pulleys but the mini Chevy alt is probly metric import.

Gotcha, where it shows the ballast resistor I'm using the Petronix 40,000 volt resistor for a 12V so I can skip that correct?
