Zenith Carb Float Setting

Looking for the carb float setting for a Zenith 1379=4. I think its 1 5/32" from the top of the gasket but want to confirm. Also do I measure it with the float in open or close position.

I'm not sure that the Zenith 13794 was ever used on a Cub Cadet, but here is what you are looking for...

Thank you. It has an IH number stamped on it too, so not sure. It was on it when I got the tractor. It's a 76 long stripe from what I have been told.

A 1976 longstripe would be called a New International Cub, not a Cub Cadet. Welcome to the forum.

Hi,
If your Cub still has the serial number plate, you can write down the serial number, and then see what year it is at the top of the page at Cub Info.
The long stripe Cubs began at serial number 248125.

Below is the whole long stripe Cub owner's manual. The experts on here recommend that people read it, it has much info about operation, maintenance, and lubrication.
It says in it that it is for tractors serial number 248125 and above.

The serial number plate originally looked like the one below, except this one has been repainted, they originally had no yellow paint on them. Some of them get painted over and can't be read, except for the stamped in number. It says the model of the tractor there too.

Thanks, I have the serial number in my manual but it's also at my ranch along with the tractor. Will be there next weekend

Got the float adjusted, the carb back together and put it on last night. Will run it today and see how she does.
