Radiator Fluid Check

Postby TiberiusCub » Tue Oct 03, 2017 7:17 am

All,
I cracked open the radiators on my cubs and could not see fluid in either of them. I know the radiator takes 9 3/4 gallons of 50/50 mix. Can the fluid normally be seen from the top?

Thanks,
TC

I use a flashlight. Shine the light to the left as your are standing in front of the tractor. Coolant or lack there of can be seen.
I have an excuse. CRS.

As Eugene said, you'll have to look to the side of the upper neck within the radiator. Coolant level should be slightly above the vertical coolant passages. If you overfill, the worst that would happen is a bit of overflow as the system finds it's happy place.

As long as the coolant is above the radiator tubes you are good. Different cubs hold a slightly different level. Don't know why they just do. Sometimes have to use flashlight

It would definitely be overfull if you added that much. I'm sure you meant quarts.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
