54A vs L-54A differences?
I have a leveling and grader blade assembly that appears to be a L-54A, I want to mount it on one of my Cubs. Are the only differences between the two blades the front axle hanger and the two axle braces? If those are the only differences I think I will try to find or build the 54A parts, any thoughts? Winter is coming.

What are you putting it F-Cub or Loboy?

I believe you can mount the L-54A on an F cub, but not vice versa. You end up with the ability to lift the blade higher.

Bob,
You are right, I have had the blade on an F-Cub, but was wondering if there were any advantages to converting it to a 54A.

Or should I ask, are there any disadvantages to mounting the L-54A blade on an F-Cub instead of the 54A blade?

I believe you can get the Loboy plow on the F-Cub but there might be an issue with the lifting bar, check TM Tractors site there are comparison pics of the L-54 to the 54A .
I'm currently doing a franken blade as in early 54 blade mixed with L54 parts on a 57 Loboy , it fits but only with spacers and longer bolts If ya want cell pics send me a pm I'll take and send them to you.

I've heard it was an improvement to use the Loboy bracket on an F-Cub , it gives more lift .

And a disadvantage I image you lose a bit of downward movement due to the underbracket is shorter therefore the plow is further from the ground , head scratch I think

Re: 54A vs L-54A differences?
I have the L-54A on my standard cub, no problems. I gather from reading here that the lift is higher than the 54A when mounted on a standard.
If only Mrs. Hoyt and Mrs. Clagwell had gotten along...

Thanks for the input, I guess I'm not hearing any reasons why not to use the lowboy blade.
I have everything painted, but I'm going to need some bushings and spacers to tighten things up.

Re: 54A vs L-54A differences?
The L-54A install is moving along, today I oversized the hole in the lifting lever and had the local machine shop make a new bushing for it, I even added a grease fitting on the underside. I think I will replace the bushings on the lifting strap as well.
