Question for Bermuda Ken

Postby David C » Thu Oct 06, 2005 8:02 am

Ken, I really enjoy my precision scale 1206, as my uncle had real 1 when I was growing up.

My question is there any hope ertl would do a precision scale of the CUB??
Aren't they the most produced tractor in the world??

Just my 2 cents worth

They did a comparison on YTMAG.com a few months ago based on serial numbers, and if I remeber correctly H and M were the top two among all the manufacturesr, with cub being #3 in the IH line and # 8 overall.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Actually.......I did the math and if you add up all the CUB tractors made (F-Cub, I-Cub, CUB Lo-Boy, and the 154-185-184 Lo-Boys) they out numbered the Farmall M in total number built.

Will there be a precision Cub or Cub Family tractor? I doubt it. Too "small" in size I believe. Maybe I will be proved wrong.....

Is there anyway we could do a mass mailing/petition to make it happen?

I am not up on this Irtel stuff , but 15 years ago at a county fair I spotted these Cub models for like 15 dollars so I bought one for my son any way the man rings it up and says that will be 26.95 and I said whoa 15 and he says no you choose the detailed Cub with serial# on the bottom and they cost more because its a collectors peice anyway I still have it and it is a nice detailed model w/working steering wheel and wheels...

There has already been a precision Cub.
They were made by Product Minatures.
I have 2 of them still in the box.
They are a little on the pricey side.
The toy costs almost as much as the real thing. :-)

Mike

Production numbers:
Cub, lowboy, 184, 185, 154.....: 322,675
Farmall H (no super Hs) : 391,223

Hs win
I think they built more JD 4020s than any other tractor.
30 + tractors including 2 French Super Cubs, French Cubs, 1963 Industrial Cub, 1955 Cub Highcrop etc...German and French built IH tractors and some bigger IH tractors. Of course I have about 20 IH trucks and an IH refridge in the Shop.
