Cub hood brackets
I have seen a few post on the missing or broken front hood brace and what is done to fix this problem. I had my hood repainted before I realized these brackets even existed so I made some brackets that allowed me to weld them to a lower spot on the hood that is covered by the grill. This avoids burning the paint on the hood if you take your time and keep the weld cooled with a damp rag. Touch up is required but is kept to a minimum behind the grill. This may not be as good as the original but it beats burning the paint on a good paint job. Here are a couple pictures of wat I did.
