Mower ID

Postby nomad » Mon Jul 10, 2017 10:46 am

Can anyone tell me what brand mower this is? The tensioner pulleys and front wheel brackets seem unique. Having trouble with the mule drive bracket (not shown) and looking for a manual on this thing. Thanks.

Guessing it may be Pennington 59 - not sure. Others may weigh in that know for sure.

Not a Pennington, too many pulleys . I don't know what it is.

Yep, Pennington did not have the idler pulleys (but someone may have added them). Pennington manuals are available at QUICK LINKS above.

Idlers could have been added to compensate for aftermarket sheaves on the spindles, they look a lot larger than the ones on my Pennington. Agreed with OP the front wheel brackets are odd.

Thanks. When I get back home I'll try to post a pic of the mule drive. I can see where this situation is heading! I think I'll mount the woods instead.

New iformation: based on a craigslist posting elsewhere, this appears to be a kub klipper mowing deck. Apparently these came with the 2 tensioners

Are you sure it isn't a deck from a riding mower that has been modified for use on a cub.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I am not sure at all. I was surprised that Kub klipper had a deck. Here’s that picture. Definitely not exact. https://images.craigslist.org/00s0s_4ii ... 00x900.jpg
